Comparing notes on all they had seen during the day were these delegates of the sixth Mining and Metallurgical Congress who visited here Wednesday as part of their whirl-wind Canadian tour. Biographical Notes
Items Collected by Malcom Baxter, former editor of NSP. Malcolm died in 2020. His father Basil, was very instrumental in the organization of Kitimat in the early years. Basil was married to Cathy Baxter and they had two sons - Malcolm and Michael. The items were delivered by Judith Cullington - Malcolm's sister-in-law.
A - Traditional vest with white back and pink front with rainbow floral patterns and blue, green, yellow, and white border. Bottom has green pockets with yellow and blue borders and red, yellow, and white patterns. Colourful flowers patterns are sprouting from the pockets. Back of vest has tab with same colour pattern as pockets.
B - Pink, red, green, yellow, and white chumpi (belt).
