The Northern BC Winter Games Committee (Kitimat) was formed in 1983 to coordinate the local arrangements of the Northern BC Winter Games held in Kitimat in February 1985. The Committee disbanded shortly after the conclusion of the Games.

The fonds consists of minutes, program, guest book and scrapbook of the Northern BC Winter Games Committee (Kitimat).

Based upon Northern Sentinel records, the team appears to have been named Johnston-Barclay-Whiting from 1974 to 1978, after which it was renamed Johnston-Barclay-Scaife.
