Sparks chairman of the Church's building committee hands over the keys while visiting church and building officials watch."

"Reeve Bert Goulet of Terrace is seen above, in a special meeting on municipial council, Friday, handing over Centennial Gavel to Reeve Sam Lindsay. The carved gavel is being carried from municipiality to municipiality in the province and will eventually be installed in the museum in Victoria. The gavel was later used that evening to open a meeting of Centennial Committee and then taken to Prince Rupert by Reeve Sam Lindsay for presentation to Mayor P.J. Lester."

Extending a wlecome to the newly formed auxiliary are John Calam, vice-president of the Kitimat General Hospital Society and G.W.Whitehead, (extreme right) chairman of the committee in charge of the Kitimat Private Hospital."
