Until such time as a civilian spotters are organised, members of the Alcan Police operate the only official aircraft observation post in Kitimat. In addition to their normal police duties at the permanent Dock Gate, staff of the post "spot" all planes and record details in a log. Here sgt. N.D. Rewers gives the facts to Constable George Grozier.
