Made by Bob Sheasby and Gordon Clifford of Clarence Michiel School it placed second in the intermediate group awards. Winners of the aluminum company of Canada's "Trip to Kemano" award for his exhibit illustrating the story of aluminum smelting were Mike McLean and Frank Johansen, students of Prince Rupert Senior Secondary School.

Aluminum company of Canada, Ltd (Alcan) will fabricate self dampening conductor initially at its Shawinigan, Que, Cable mill.
