From the years 1953-1958, Mike Kinnear took photos during his school years, until graduation, while working for Fred Ryan Ltd. after school and holidays. Photos for him was a hobby, and he took many photos of the smelter and townsite as it grew around him. Mike also took a number of photos for the Kitimat Northern Sentinel, during the Ken Brumley and Pixie Meldrum years as editors. Mike and his family left Kitimat in 1958, but he spent the best part of 40 years in the photographic field, mainly in the retail/wholesale part of the photo industry.

5 rocks. All rocks found in adjoinging gully to Whittlesey Street. A check, however, did not prove colclusive. The material was most likely dumped with the topsoil and was lying on top of much younger material. Concretious (shale-like material) very similar to Smither-Buckley Valley year-old bridge.

2 Pebble Tools: 6 pebble choppers were found at Moon Bay (Mickey's cove) mud slide caused (Ap. 25, '75) by high tide level, dredging operations of Rivtow Striats Co., we took photographs of all the choppers numbered. 1-6, ours #6 on photo, greatest length, 5 1/2 width 4". 2 (likely)
