Photo showing entertainment for passengers aboard the Princess Patricia. Fourteen year old Susan McCorrnick does a Scottish dance for passengers aboard the Princess Patricia which docked at Kitimat Monday. During the ship's Six-hour stay in Kitimat, -entertainment is usually provided by local groups during the half-hour before departure. Susan was part of a group from the Micki More School of Dancing. In the past Mount Elizabeth Secondary Band have also played for the ship's departure. While in Kitimat passengers have an opportunity to go on a bus tour of the town, the plant and the general area.

Photo showing "Four-hour job to count these coins". Coins in pennies, nickles, dines, quarters and half-dollars weighing about 100 pounds, and bundles of dollar bills totalling approximately $1,700 took members of the Canadian Legion Kitimat branch four hours to count. Money came from sale of poppies on Rememberance Day. Ron Fairclough, Legion secretary said total is almost double the last year's amount. Counting the money which will go to the poppy fund are from left Legionaires Bill Patton, Art Fisher, Pat Wright and Tom Gibson.

In 2013, the Kitimat Museum and Archives worked with the District of Kitimat, and the Recreation Department, to select images commemorating 60 years of Community in the town of Kitimat. The display can physically be seen on display in the hallway of Riverlodge Recreation Centre.
