Biographical Notes
Items Collected by Malcom Baxter, former editor of NSP. Malcolm died in 2020. His father Basil, was very instrumental in the organization of Kitimat in the early years. Basil was married to Cathy Baxter and they had two sons - Malcolm and Michael. The items were delivered by Judith Cullington - Malcolm's sister-in-law.
Multi-purpose tool created as a promotional item for Rio Tinto Alcan. Top 'arm' has "RioTinto Alcan" and logo for Bechtel on one side and "KMP" on the other. Lower silver 'arm' bends downward to reveal an adjustable black corkscrew. A small, slightly curved, serrated blade can be pulled upwards out of the tip of the top 'arm'. Item comes in a black cardboard box with fitted foam interior.
