Photo showing the Pacific Prince, a ship formally known as the YMS-119 built by the United States Navy in 1943 and used as a coastal minesweeper. It was bought by Northland Navigation in 1947 and converted to a coastal freighter in 1952 by owner, Captain H.J.C. Terry. The ship was the smallest and also most economic vessel to operate, able to carry 200 tons of cargo.

Photo showing the Pacific Prince, a ship formally known as the YMS-119 built by the United States Navy in 1943 and used as a coastal minesweeper. It was bought by Northland Navigation in 1947 and converted to a coastal freighter in 1952 by owner, Captain H.J.C. Terry. The ship was the smallest and also most economic vessel to operate, able to carry 200 tons of cargo.

Jeff Mellows, of Kitimat, was one of 130 teachers from all parts of the province who attended the annual summer conference of the BC teachers Federation in Prince George, Mr Mellows attended an economic seminor held in conjuction with the conference. Shown above are, Pat Griffiths, lead guitar, Gary Banrath, bass guitar, Brian Hilton, drums and Carl Sande, organ and rythm. The group has a repertoire of 125 numbers and has made a number of appearnaces throughout Western Canada."

Photograph of the five storey Prince George General Hospital, designed by the Thompson, Berwick and Pratt of Vancouver, is scheduled for completion late in 1959. Tenders for the $2, 300, 000 project will likely be called this month. Accommodation for 125 beds will be provided with sufficient space for later expansion to 165 beds. Hospital plant services are designed for 200 beds. To be built as a separate structure is a 54 bed nurses residence, cost of which is included within the overall project estimate.
