"Never Surrender," written by Mary Pact, founder of C.A.R.S and published by Mitchell Press Ltd is just off the press. It represents her years of work in the fight against arthritis for which she has received, amoung other honors, an honorary doctorate of laws from University of B.C. as well as the Canada metal.

The far end of this hall in the entrance end although there is also a private entrance for groups using the committee room. Work boots and work clothes are not to be worn in this lounge or in the coffee bar and members, proud of their new home, will be enforcing this rule. Staff of this development includes a full time steward.

Photograph of the old MESS hall, was the centre of the Kitchen activities. Less than a month ago these cleaning operations were underway where there is now a modern coffee bar. It was built to last but four months, the hall has been in almost constant since 1951.
