It is surrounded by an illustrated border that features a book and quill on top, and a red ensign and Italian flag crossed over on the top left corner.

There is a dogwood flower on the top, with text below reading "Canadian Confederation Centennial Committee of British Columbia Certificate of Merit Awarded to G. Delmonti for outstanding contribution to the British Columbia Centennial Celebrations of 1966 and to the Canadian Confederation Centennial Celebrations of 1967." There is a centennial logo below as well as signatures.
