Pages are creased horizontally down the middle. Holes along the left sides from staples being removed. Black dots on back of third page. Back of last page has some yellow glue residue and a hole torn out of the bottom left corner.

From the years 1953-1958, Mike Kinnear took photos during his school years, until graduation, while working for Fred Ryan Ltd. after school and holidays. Photos for him was a hobby, and he took many photos of the smelter and townsite as it grew around him. Mike also took a number of photos for the Kitimat Northern Sentinel, during the Ken Brumley and Pixie Meldrum years as editors. Mike and his family left Kitimat in 1958, but he spent the best part of 40 years in the photographic field, mainly in the retail/wholesale part of the photo industry.

Donated by Margaret and Mike Kinnear.

Heavy horizontal creases all across item. Brownish residue on top left-hand side of front cover. Yellow glue residue and pieces of brown paper on back cover, presumably from having been attached to a scrapbook page. Green pen marks also on back cover near the top. Two chunks have been ripped out of the back cover along the outer edge. Text on inside of second page is faded in some areas.
