Photograph of Christmas tree. Heart of Christmas in Kitimat is the community Christmas tree in front of the Kitimat General Hospital. The 40 foot giant, erected on the site by Crown Zellerbach, is the annual project of the Kitimat Jaycees with financial backing of the senior Chamber of Commerce. In keeping with the original plan of something new each year the huge "Season's Greeting" sign has been added this year along with a further development of the Nativity scene.
