A B&J camera back made out of wood. The front includes a cut out to view the ground glass. The back includes the folding focusing hood, which can be popped up and closed with pressing the latch. Around the hood has metal attachments. On The hood are markings that read "B&J MANFACTURED BY BURKE & JAMES , INC. CHICAGO, ILL. U.S.A."

Box is hinged on one side with yellowed cellophane tape. Made in Japan stamped on the bottom of the box.
