Photograph of a group of people sitting on a sandy beach. Two girls are in the foreground. One is more at the front with only the back of her head showing. The other is in the centre and wearing a purple swim suit. Both have brown hair. There are three men behind them, two with visibly dark hair. Two are leaning down, and one is standing. From the years 1953-1958, Mike Kinnear took photos during his school years, until graduation, while working for Fred Ryan Ltd. after school and holidays. Photos for him was a hobby, and he took many photos of the smelter and townsite as it grew around him. Mike also took a number of photos for the Kitimat Northern Sentinel, during the Ken Brumley and Pixie Meldrum years as editors. Mike and his family left Kitimat in 1958, but he spent the best part of 40 years in the photographic field, mainly in the retail/wholesale part of the photo industry.

Photograph showing Sandi MacDonald playing the piano and singing into a microphone. She's wearing earrings, a polka-dot long sleeve shirt, black jeans and a ring. Her hair is short and curly. The background is quite dark and nothing is visible but possibly a stage light. It appears as if she is on a stage and some microphone or stage equipment.
