Caption says either 1955 or 1958. If 1955, the photo was taken before the official founding of the Kitimat Cadets in October of that year; therefore the only known member of the future Kitimat Corps present would be Cadet Lance Corporal J.G. Turgeon, who moved to Kitimat and joined the Cadets later that year.

Group photograph of training officers at the Vernon Cadet Camp. Standing at the far right is Lieutenant Emile 'Bill' Duyvewaardt, who worked as a teacher and army cadet leader in Kitimat from 1955 to 1958.
This ode was written by Mr. Ken Johnston, a journalist who visited Kitimat in the spring of 1954, just prior to the Duke of Edinburg's visit in June 1954. Johnston visit the scout troop. He gave his address of Whitehall, London.
