"HOSPITAL BOARD chairman John Springer, above looks at a cheque and sees a mobile ex-ray machine. The cheque was handed over by Mrs.Ken McEwan of the hospital Ladies' Auxiliary and it was in the amount of $1,900, representing proceeds of the "Wine and Roses" dance and other fundraising activities. The x-ray machine, a much needed piece of equipment costs more than $6,000 and with the provincial governments grand of $2,300 and the Auxiliary gift the Board is well on the way. Presentation was made at the regular board meeting last Thursday."
