All raw materials are imported to produce 268,000 tonnes of value - added aluminum ingots annually for use in Alcan's Western Canada fabricating plants and export mainly to Asia and the U.S.A.

Ernie Archer was a resident of Kemano from 1975-1993. Ernie stated that visitors would get off the boatand be driven to the Alcan dump to see the bears.
