All raw materials are imported to produce 268,000 tonnes of value - added aluminum ingots annually for use in Alcan's Western Canada fabricating plants and export mainly to Asia and the U.S.A.

Meeting in Kitimat this week are J.W. Cameron, Alcan vice president and manager, smelter division, and managers of the company's smelters. The above picture, taken before the meetings commenced Tuesday at Nechako Lodge, are, for left to right, R. Lanctot, manager of the Isie Maligne Works, Bruce Davis, Formerly assistant manager, Kitimat Works, and R.F. Donahoe, manager of Beauharnois Works, Gaston Dufour, manager of Arvida Works, Mr. Cameron, G.H. Gwyn, manager, Kitimat Works, and R.F. Donahoe, manager of Shawinigan Works. The meetings are held at regular intervals. This is the first time they have been held in Kitimat.
