During the ship's Six-hour stay in Kitimat, -entertainment is usually provided by local groups during the half-hour before departure. Susan was part of a group from the Micki More School of Dancing. In the past Mount Elizabeth Secondary Band have also played for the ship's departure. While in Kitimat passengers have an opportunity to go on a bus tour of the town, the plant and the general area.

Fourteen Sikorsky S-55 helicopters were used as workhorses and load carriers during construction. Carl Agar and his crew with Okanagan Helicopters took men and materials to otherwise inaccessible spots.
