"HOSPITAL BOARD chairman John Springer, above looks at a cheque and sees a mobile ex-ray machine. The cheque was handed over by Mrs.Ken McEwan of the hospital Ladies' Auxiliary and it was in the amount of $1,900, representing proceeds of the "Wine and Roses" dance and other fundraising activities. The x-ray machine, a much needed piece of equipment costs more than $6,000 and with the provincial governments grand of $2,300 and the Auxiliary gift the Board is well on the way. Presentation was made at the regular board meeting last Thursday."

NSP Article: Flowers & More Flowers were the order of the day last Saturday at the annual Rotary Flower Show. There were many more cut flowers in this year's show than previously. This was attributed to the fine summer weather of the past few weeks. The cut flower section, above, gets the once over from some of the many spectators.
