a) A Black flash meter plastic box case. It has "Flash METER" marked on the flap with a button clasp to close or open the box. Either side has a ringlet for attaching a strap onto it. The back has two slits to attach it onto a belt.
b) A black Flash Meter. The front has a white swtich to go between "TEST" "OFF" or "ON" beside it is a dial to adjust the exposure index. Above it is the flash meter. The back has a chart and a battery compartment.
