"Mayor George Thom accompanied by a Piper was on hand to greet the truimphant returning MESS band after their successful trip to England. Bandmaster, Peter Bayley was first to descend from the plane, followed closely by MESS principal George Neumann."

"Highlight of the special service last Sunday at First Baptist Church was the handshake, above, during the induction of Rev. W.L.Highfield. Moderator for the service was Rev. George Rempel of First Baptist, Prince Rupurt, who is seen congratulating Kitimat's new minister. Between them is Rev. Glen Noble, newly-elected president of the Kitimat Clergy Association. Choir and congregation of Pilgrim Baptist Church also joined in the cermony. -- Patzelt Photo."

"Wrapping up final details for campeign to promote the visit of Vancouver Symphony Orchestra to Kitimat are left to right Roy Wilcox, Mrs. John Harvard, Louis Mowbray, and Mrs.David Morton, members of the Kitimat Concert ASsociation Committee. The 81 piece Orchestra conducted by Meredith Davies will arrive by charter flight for the concert at Mount Elizabeth auditorioum Tuesday, March 30. Tickets are availabe now from any member of the association.

Shown above are, Pat Griffiths, lead guitar, Gary Banrath, bass guitar, Brian Hilton, drums and Carl Sande, organ and rythm. The group has a repertoire of 125 numbers and has made a number of appearnaces throughout Western Canada."
