File contains ten photocopies of cartoons drawn by Martin Fossum, depicting activities over the course of a year at Kitimat's Nechako School in the mid-1950s. One verse of a poem is included on each picture.
Martin Fossum, the son of an RCMP staff sergeant, was a student at the Kitimat School in Nechako Shopping Centre from 1955 to 1959. He submitted these cartoons in place of a Grade 9 English writing assignment for teacher Emile 'Bill' Duyvewaardt.
Custodial History
Original drawings were retained by Duyvewaardt for many years. These photocopies were sent to Arvid Hardin in 2012 and donated by him to the Museum in 2022.
