Results will be announced in The Sentinel, August 19 and prizes will be awarded at the Rotary Flower Show August 21st.

Judges this year commented on the number of fine gardens, and those that missed because a boulevard had been left untended or work has been concentrated on either front or back garden but not both. Judges recommened the municipality give a lead in a progressive program of boulevard seeding to improve general appearance of the residential areas.

The Demelt garden is one of several well-developed efforts in the Whitesail area, putting this neighborhood in the forefront with Kildala. Judges agreed that there is a noticeable decline in garden care and upkeep in Nechako area. Mr. & Mrs. Demelt scored heavily for their use of rockeries.
