Notes
Chance for everyone to have a bird's-eye view of the territory around us is afforded by this specifically constructed large scale relief map of Northern B.C. on view this weekend at the City Centre. Just one of the many exhibits in the "Our Town." It graphically shows the power supply and network of lakes which were responsible for Kitimat's coming into being as an industrial center. Bob Muir, Public Relations Officer of Alcan is responsible for the display and will be on hand to explain the details.
Photo showing popular holiday attraction for many Kitimat families was the outboard boat racing and hydroplanning at Lakelse Lake. Shot of large crowd gathered in front of Lakelse Lake.

Photograph of C.D Hayward of Williams Lake is shown above receiving the Northern sentinel individual award winner of first prize in the Dominion Day Salmon Derby sponsored by the Kitimat Rob and Gun Club. Myrna Mckeran, Miss Kitimat 1966, made the presentations to winners at 6 pm Sunday at the clunb house, following the wind up of one of the smallest contest in the 11 year historyof the derby. Run off of show from the mountains which turned the river milky is blamed for small catch.
