Photograph of third prize winner in Alcan's annual Christmas lighting contest this year went to the A.E. Burnip home at 35 Pintail. The brilliantly lighted house featutred a display of elaborately construced and dressed snowmen on the roof of the carport. Pintail also took the street prize.

On Monday the theatre was packed with the audience waiting for more Christmas carols and skits which got everyone in the Christmas spirit. Cartoons were shown to round out the party. Theory was Wendy would sing "I Saw Mummy Was Kissing Santa Clause," but the beard threw Jessie. Presents were distributed and "a fine time was had by all."
