"Mrs.Bea Fossum, (left) 1963-1964 president of the Kitimat Concert Association is shown with high-school principal, Ron Barry and American concert pianist, Marilyn Neely, on stage of Mount Elizabeth Secondary school admiring new concert grand piano which Miss Neely was first to use. Association raised $6000 by a community canvass to purchase the insturment for Kitimat, an unusually musical town because of many residents with European background. Artists of the Alaska Music Trail always visit her on annual series of four concerts and say they find audiences knowledgeable and appreciative. Sentinel Photo. Februaruy 23, 1964. Gabriel (Gabor) Nyeste was one of the leaders of the Scouts of the First Kitimat Troop (Boy Scouts). He moved to Kitimat to work on the Alcan project and left in the early 60s. He passed away in Kamloops in July 2020.
