Named Kitimat's first "Citizen of the year," Mrs. Ada Hayes, 12 pintail. The following announcement made by the Kiwanis Club of awards. An anonymous panel of judges chose Mrs. Hayes from amoung several nominees for her public service in connection with the Kitimat Citizenship Council, the Kitimat General Hospital of which she is a trustee, Kitimat players of which she is 1965-1966 president, and for her tireless interest and support of many cultural, sports and civic activities over the 11 years of he residence here. Mrs. Hayes will receive an award from "citizen of the year" sponsors, the Kiwanis Club, at the Dominion Day evening show Thursday in Mt. Elizabeth high school auditorium.
