Photograph of Kitimat's 30th transfer in 18 years service for Sergeant Jack Duggan, new commanding officer of the RCMP detachment. Sergeant Duggan arrived to take over his appointment. En listing in Toronto, he has had a varied career with administrative and special duties in the East and in Vancouver, where he was in charge of the customs and excise branch of the RCMP before his transfer to Prince Rupurt Sub-division, Sergeant Duggon played professional football In the East as centre of the Ottawa Roughriders in 1942. Sergeant Duggan succeeds staff Sergeant J.F. Gregory who has been transfered to Prince Rupurt.
