"MIKE TOPP (front left) took two out of the three trophies up for grabs in the Belly Flop Contest with
his spectacular belly flop and cannonball dives. Alex Loker (front right) who can’t swim, took top
honours in the best costume event, not so much for his outfit but for best impersonation as a swimmer.
Bill Dauphinee, last year’s champion, and Mike Whelan and Brian McCallum did their best but didn’t
pull off any wins this year."
