Mr. Ferreira left Wednesday to attend ceremony commemorating the landing of Portuguese explorer Gaspar Ortega Real on the island in 1501. Mr. Ferreira to be guest of the Smallwood Government during his stay.

Klaus Mueller, was one of 48 men and women gathered on a Tuesday in Kitimat to hear Judge William O. Futton announce: "You are now Canadians". He is a native born German who is employed in the property department of the Aluminum Company.
