Newspaper records indicate that Schultz was an Alcan employee and a frequent musician at community events in Kitimat.

Mr. Nykolaishen, originally from Manitoba, came to Kitimat from Saskatchewan circa 1956. He worked as a saw centre operator for Alcan for 19 years before retiring and moving down south with his wife.
