Photo showing - The weather was ideal, the water main broke in Whitesail, and summer is almost over, so three young Kitimatians took this golden opportunity "to paddle their own canoe" -- in the mudhole! The three boys, L/R Robert Barratt, Harold Osborne and Gordi Birch, stripped to the waist, are seen paddling their way on a "home-made" raft.
