Gribben, BC representatives for Baldwin pianos and organs, met students and friends of music teacher, Mrs. Dwayne Johnson, at the gathering held in the banquet room of the Kitimat Hotel. Student "get togethers" are a regular activity with young people learning to play the organ in other cities in Canada."

Photograph of Kinsmen Ice carnival chairman, Vern Paui, is pictured above introducing Miss Kitimat, Louise Sigouin and Reeve Sam Lindsay. Miss Sigouin officially opened the show and the many events that accompanied the weekends activities. Reeve Lindsay on behalf of the municipality, extended best wishes for a successful venture. Both official guests retired to one of the players benches for the evenings performance.
