History / Biographical
Gabriel (Gabor) Nyeste was one of the leaders of the Scouts of the First Kitimat Troop (Boy Scouts). He moved to Kitimat to work on the Alcan project and left in the early 60s. He passed away in Kamloops in July 2020.

Photo showing seventeen rinks took part in the KDTA school board curling bonspiel Friday and Saturday at the Kitimat Curling Club. Left to right: Jim Johnson, Miss Diana Dewar of Kildala School, School trustee Warren Banks and Mrs. Banks, winning rink was skipped by Chuck Wirth of Mt. Elizabeth Secondary staff.

Jimmy, 22 months old, was an RH baby, believe it or not, and he and his parents are strong supporters of the blood donor campaign in Kitimat.
