This ode was written by Mr. Ken Johnston, a journalist who visited Kitimat in the spring of 1954, just prior to the Duke of Edinburg's visit in June 1954. Johnston visit the scout troop. He gave his address of Whitehall, London.

Written by Brahm Wiesman of Vancouver and two graduate students, Marie Lauzier and Robert Friesen, after having spent the summer of 1974 living in and researching Kitimat.

Yellow glue residue and pieces of brown paper on back cover, presumably from having been attached to a scrapbook page. Green pen marks also on back cover near the top. Two chunks have been ripped out of the back cover along the outer edge. Text on inside of second page is faded in some areas.
