Back of postcard read: KITIMAT WORKS - B.C. The Kitimat smelter of the Aluminum Company of Canada, Limited. Installed capacity - 192,000 tons per year.
Insulators are made out of green glass, and used for telephones. One has a broken bottom. Brand name "Hemingray". Used for electrical insulation of telegraphs, controlling electrical current due to their high resistivity.

Two copies of a black Cameralite DVY lamp. It is a small square lamp, at one side there is a switch and on the other side is the cord with a plug at the end. Underneath is a metal attachment with two screw holes and cork padding beneath, at the side there is a hand turnable screw. At the back there is brand and caution information. The lamp itself has silver metal to reflect the light from the clear glass bulb.
