A graduate of West Vancouver Sr. Highschool and U.B.C., Mr. Mckeown preffered subjects are Math and Biology which he teaches at Mount Elizabeth. Mr. Mceown and his wife, Merrily both began teaching in Kitimat in September of 1963. His hobbies are photography, skiing, scooba diving, hunting and fishing. The Mceowns live at 1590 Albatross Ave.

From the years 1953-1958, Mike Kinnear took photos during his school years, until graduation, while working for Fred Ryan Ltd. after school and holidays. Photos for him was a hobby, and he took many photos of the smelter and townsite as it grew around him. Mike also took a number of photos for the Kitimat Northern Sentinel, during the Ken Brumley and Pixie Meldrum years as editors. Mike and his family left Kitimat in 1958, but he spent the best part of 40 years in the photographic field, mainly in the retail/wholesale part of the photo industry.

Mr. Hubner came to Kitimat in 1960 from Vancouver, where he took a Bachelor of Education course at U.B.C. His preferred subjects are history and archeology. Mr. Hubner teaches at Mount Elizabeth. He taught history during the year 1963-1964 in Denmark while on a years leave of absence, and found himself glad to be back home in Kitimat.

A self styled "western boy at heart with a yen to buy a ranch and teach school in the winter" Mr. Grant is a graduate of U.B.C and West Vancouver High. From North Vancouver, Mr. Grant enjoys teaching math and physics and all sports. He teaches occupational math 1, P.A. 9, science 9 and 10 and guidance.

Mr. McFee, M.A., B.A., came to Kitimat from Dawson Creek after living there for 12 years, was the principal of the South Peace High School. Mr. McFee took his degree at Kings University Kingston. Mr and Mrs McFee and their children live at 1415 Albatross. Mr. McFee is much impressed with the school set up and the "completeness and the variety of Kitimat".

When Mr. Tupman came to Kitimat in September, 1957, there was no school band. since then he has organized a senior and junior band and school dance orchestra. coming to kitimat from Victoria, he graduated from Victoria Normal School and U.B.C., Mr. Tupman was appointed music consultant in September, 1964. Mr and Mrs Tupman and their three young daughters live at 9 Eagle street. their interest in music extends to choir work and they are both members of the First United Church Choir.

Mr. Berry and his wife, Bernadette, and two sons, Ian and Michael, came to kitimat in 1955. Mr. Berry taught at the high school, being appointed vice principal in 1959. his preferred teaching subjects are English and French and his hobbies include badminton, drama and choir music. he was born in England and has had 19 years of teaching experience, mostly in B.C. He graduated from Bishops University and U.B.C. the family lives at 44 Hawk.

Mr. Robertson came to Kitimat in 1956 from Hazelton where he was principal of the elementary school. his home town is Fanny Bay, Vancouver Island and he is a graduate of U.B.C. Before becoming principle of cormorant elementary, Mr. Robertson taught a the high school, where he is now the vice principal. An out door sports man, his favourite hobbies are skiing, mountain climbing, hiking, fishing and photography. Mr and Mrs Robertson and their children live at 5 Eagle.

The art teacher in Mount Elizabeth secondary school, Mrs. Antoniw has been in Kitimat since June 1954. She previously lived in Vancouver and attended school in Winnipeg. Mrs Antoniws paintings are well known in Kitimat and she plays the violin in the kitimat little symphony and the piano for her own pleasure. Mr and Mrs Antoniw live at 40 Gannet Crescent.

Mrs. Bruins home town is Vancouver. she came to Kitimat with her three sons, David, Michael and Kino. she graduated from north Burnaby High School and teaches commerce at the high school. Mrs bruins special interests is the library, and she will be in charge of the school news paper.

Mr. Brauer teaches math and french at the high school. he came to Kitimat in the 1960's from Brandon, Manitoba, where he taught at the collegiate institute. he is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music, Essen Germany and has a B.A. degree from the University at Bari Italy. Mr and Mrs brauer live at 45 Teal street.

A native of London, England, and a graduate of the London school of economics, Mr. Mellows arrived here in September, 1964, to teach English and Social Studies to grades 8 - 12. his wife, Pamela, is also a high school teacher. Mr. Mellows hobbies include tennis, fishing and rock climbing.

Mrs. Mellows comes from Birmingham, England and graduated from London, university. her preferred subject is math which she teaches to grades 8, 9, 11, and 12. Mrs. Mellows is a keen photographer, dressmaker, tennis player and climber.
