NSP article - Attendance records tumbled again this year at the Lion's Trade Fair as the big show really packed them in. The above picture shows part of the big crowd that greeted the Harmonettes from Smithers during their three performances Saturday afternoon and evening.

Photo showing NSP Article - Toni Jenster, Lions Club president and Reeve Sam Lindsay combine to turn water on at new 40 foot diameter wading pool to serve children in the Nechako and Whitesail Areas. The pool, a Lions Club project, was turned over to municipality at a ceremony last Saturday. Later the Reeve impishly turned the water on again while a number of youngsters, clad in spring clothing scurried to drier quarters. The pool will commence operation later in the season.
