Public Description
Furniture created for Kitimat by Vancouver-based designer Robin Bush. Bush was contracted by Alcan to furnish Nechako Lodge, Alcan's guesthouse and workers' accommodations. The walnut dining room chair from Nechako Lodge is a Robin Bush and Earle Morrison design. The couch is a Robin Bush and Associates design from 1955, one of many furnishings from the H Hut Lounge, Townsite Camp, Kitimat. Donated by Christ Church Anglican of Kitimat.

Entirely preplanned - the "city centre" lies in the neck of the "townsite" and the "service centre" across the Kitimat River. The "Smeltersite" is at the end of Douglas Channel.
