Article in NSP; A pioneer Kitimat resident, John Pousette, has resigned his position with Alcan's labour relations department and will be leaving Kitimat later this spring. Mr. Pousette, who came to Kitimat from a law practice in Terrace in 1954, was first editor of Kitimat Works' paper, The Ingot, and the legal advisor in the company's property department. He transferred several years ago to the labor relations dept. Associated with the start of many community organizations, Mr. Pousette is perhaps best known for his two terms as a member of the municipal council. He was an original member of the Kitimat Library Board, member of the B.C. Centennial Committee as project manager, president of the YMCA, chairman of the Hirsch Cr. Park Board, chairman of the Kitimat District Bar Assoc., charter president of Nechako Toastmasters' Club, & an executive member of the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce. Spring 1963.
