"Out for Blood" Sunday noon at the PWA ramp, smeltersite. The two canso aircraft put down, each with a crew of five and seven red cross members of the blood transfusion service aboard.

In their smart grey uniforms and berets thirteen members of the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service from Vancouver posed for this picture on their arrival in Kitimat sunday in two Canso aircraft of the RCAF No.5 air division. Miss Thelma Dunfield at the extreme left headed the party which included three nurses and several technicians. Those in the group beside Miss Dunfield are H.Allert, A. Friesen, D.Pike, D.Fowler, R. Wollatt, G. Soveck, G. Van Sacker, G. Christie, G. Erickson, S. Wlasuk, M. Stewart, and L. Chisolm. The girls were taken on a tour of Kitimat Sunday afternoon and with the crew of the plane were entertained in the Firemen's lounge Sunday evening.
