NSP Article - Captain Scott, master of Northland Navigation's MV "Haida Prince", is shown above raising the Lions Flag on his ship to publicize the second annual Lions Trade Fair held last year. With Captain Scott are centre, D.J. Murray, manager of Northern Dock and Warehouse, Kitimat and charter Lions' member Norman Handford, who was recently appointed zone chairman for the new Lions zone area comprised of clubs in Kitimat, Terrace and Hazelton.

NSP article - Attendance records tumbled again this year at the Lion's Trade Fair as the big show really packed them in. The above picture shows part of the big crowd that greeted the Harmonettes from Smithers during their three performances Saturday afternoon and evening.

The pool, a Lions Club project, was turned over to municipality at a ceremony last Saturday. Later the Reeve impishly turned the water on again while a number of youngsters, clad in spring clothing scurried to drier quarters. The pool will commence operation later in the season.
