"Capping off a very successful season the youngsters pictured above happily display their achievement awards won at the "Y"pool. This year's swimming activity at the "Y" also produced 15 junior lifesavers who assisted in pool supervision during the summer months.

Mr.Owen made the presentation on behalf of Salvation Army Lt. Bill Young who was unable to attend. The citation reads "This certificate is presented in grateful appreciation of volunteer service to the community and welfare of others through the salvation Army." - Mrs. thompson, a member of the L.A. to Branch 250, has co-ordinated the Kitimat annual fund raising appeal for the Salvation Army for a number of years."
