Photo showing challenge winners in the Aluminum City bonspiel was the Keith Melanson rink of Terrace. They won the challenge with a final win over the Jim Sherstan rink of Kitimat, but lost a "C" flight final to the Dave Lecompte rink of Kitimat. The Melanson quartet, left to right, rear: Keith Melanson (third), Joe Whitney (skip), and left to right front: lead Ian Johnson, and Parker Mills (second).

Caption says either 1955 or 1958. If 1955, the photo was taken before the official founding of the Kitimat Cadets in October of that year; therefore the only known member of the future Kitimat Corps present would be Cadet Lance Corporal J.G. Turgeon, who moved to Kitimat and joined the Cadets later that year.
