Photograph of the ribbon cutting ceremony opening officially the bowling alleys at Anderson Creek, was one of the highlights of Saturday evenings ceremony. Mrs. P.E. Radley served the ribbon while a large group of onlookers applauded, then lined up to start competitive bowling.

Photograph of the opening ceremonies for the new Kitimat Library in Nechako centre have been set tentatively for February 21. New building, designed by architect Russel Baxter and constructed by Barton construction incorporates many of the newest and most practicle design features. Mrs. Doris Olsen is the librarian-custodian. Mrs. J.T Madill is chairman of Kitimat Library Board for 1958. Last year Kitimat readers borrowed an average of 20 books each.
