Photograph of Kitimat Works. By April 1, 1953, the skeleton of Kitimat Works had begun to take shape, but the project site was still pretty barren. Today, a deep sea wharf, alumina storage silos, a $90 million anode paste plant, a coke calcining plant, and additional potroom buildings occupy the foreground.
