Each blade has "I-XL George Wostenholm Sheffield England" and "stainless steel" engraved near the hilt.

There are cracks running top-to-bottom around each of the metal bolts/nails at each end of the handle. Ivory (?) may be discoloured from age. The metal edges of the handle appear tarnished, especially along the side where the blades can be pulled out.

Biographical Notes
Max Patzelt was a member of the Kitimat Volunteer Fire Department from 1957 to 1972. He also worked as a photographer and served in many other community organizations.
